What's the role?

The role of Local Process Expert (LPE) serves as the local expert for global data implementation. The LPE is responsible for the coordination, implementation, and maintenance of processes related to Hilti’s Global Product Data Publishing (PDP) system for the North America market.

What does the role involve?


  • Work with stakeholders (Global team, Product Management, Brand & Digital, etc.) to develop content that effectively communicates the message to the intended audience in a compelling way.
  • Support successful product launches by working with Product Management to ensure relevant materials are available at launch.
  • Promote understanding and adherence to brand excellence guidelines throughout all levels of the organization; maximize long-term potential of the Hilti brand and adhere to globally-established guidelines (act as a “brand guardian”)
  • Develop and implement team member system training.
  • Coordinate data quality assurance and support for Hilti Online, print publication output, and participation.
  • Coordinate global product setup within the PDP system; from description development to photography upload.
  • Understand and own the business requirements and functionality of the PDP applications; understand the general functionality of the integrating applications.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and challenge information gathered from multiple sources; reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and “abstract up” from low-level information to a more general understanding for both IT and business audiences.
  • Serve as the North American liaison between the business customer, IT, integration, and testing teams ensuring technical solutions match functional requirements on a global level
  • Manage the change control process for the PDP system
  • Conduct review of deliverables for understanding and accuracy
  • Participate in impact analysis sessions when application changes are made
  • Provide domain and subject matter expertise on data and metrics
  • Maintain awareness of technology changes for potential impact on requirements and final delivery in an application
  • Provide accurate, clear status reporting
  • Facilitate discussions for documenting business processes (e.g. As-is and To-be)
  • Maintain data integrity for all data used in analysis
  • Use various information tools to query data accurately and efficiently
  • Create ad-hoc reporting and insights
  • Explain and reproduce processes and methods to reinforce data integrity and walk business users through the logical steps used to arrive at conclusions
  • Additional duties as assigned

    What you need is:

    • Bachelor’s Degree, required
    • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and presentation skills
    • Ability to use creativity and critical thinking to innovate and solve complex problems
    • Ability to prioritize, and manage multiple tasks, with a high degree of efficiency and organization
    • Ability to work in a constantly changing environment, and the ability to be able to adapt to unexpected obstacles and barriers
    • Ability to quickly learn new tools, methods and processes to continue to improve analytical output
    • High level of intellectual curiosity – ability to ask the right questions to get a good understanding of the problem.
    • Has the ability to articulate technical information into a meaningful message that clearly explains issue, impact, and resolution.
    • Ability to work independently to solve complex problems as well as seek out answers with minimal information.
    • Ability to own processes and influence team members to follow correct processes
