Digital Workplace Engineer - Mobile Device Management (m/f/x)
What's the role?
We are looking for Digital Workplace Engineer with great passion for mobile devices and modern device management. In this role you will be responsible for the management of 20k+ mobile devices (Android, iOS, iPadOS) and also have the opportunity to grow into the management of macOS devices or other devices (AR/VR Wearables, Printers, etc.). Together with a global and multicultural team of experienced engineers you will be responsible for device testing, evaluation and management by working closely with vendors. We expect positive disruptions and automation by leveraging our cloud-based modern device management environment.

What does the role involve?
Your primary focus will be taking the full ownership of Mobile Device Management for over 20k+ mobile devices at HILTI. This entails device certification, configuration, patching & upgrade management as well as security topics. You will actively drive the adoption and integration of mobile devices into our business processes utilizing innovative cloud technologies. Therefore, a good business acumen and understanding of cloud technologies is required. A strong commitment to collaborative problem solving and creating quality solutions is essential for good delivery with outstanding and sustainable results. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to grow and expand your skillset to the management of macOS devices or other platforms (AR/VR Wearables, Printers, etc.).
You will be working closely with our vendors, user group representatives, and Regional IT managers – from requirements gathering, design, engineering, rollout and training 1st to 3rd level support. Being part of a truly international and diverse team, you will work along-side other engineers and solution architects on different layers of the infrastructure.

What you need is:
- Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems / Technology or related fields or equivalent educational qualification with profound working experience
- A great passion for and 2-3 years of experience for at least one of the following areas: Android Device Management, iOS Device Management, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, MacOS
- Passion for innovation, automation, critical analysis, and reporting
- Ability to lead global major rollouts (e.g. major OS upgrades, security initiatives) and strong ownership
- A good understanding on security best-practices and processes
- Basic knowledge in related IT infrastructure field (network, identity management, software packaging, mobile hardware). M365/Azure fundamentals, MCSA and/or comparable certifications are a plus
- Fluent in English and proven expertise in technical writing, vendor/stakeholder management, and professionalism while working under pressure
